Friday, March 16th
4:30-7:00pm Evening of Story
This happy hour event will be an opportunity for you all to meet Colorado educators and librarians. There will be a short welcome and a performance by Emily Arrow. Then, we will ask you to (in one minute or less) introduce yourself and share a passage from your latest work with the audience before we mingle.

Saturday, March 17th

8:45am-4:00pm Children’s Festival of Stories open to all
You will have a set time to present for 20 minutes on the main stage, or storytime stage as scheduled. The remainder of the day will be spent engaging with readers as they visit your signing table. Books will be available for purchase and signing throughout the festival. We will provide you with lunch, and there will be bagels & cream cheese courtesy of Rosenberg’s Bagels, fruit and other morning treats to start your St. Patrick’s Day.

Sunday, March 18th

10:30-11:15 am Drawing comic character designs (for younger artists)
Author/illustrator, Stan Yan (There’s a Zombie in the Basement) will show his secrets for creating a easily-repeatable character design by using simple geometric shapes, showing tricks for drawing backgrounds and incorporating text.

12:20-1:05 pm Picture Book q&a panel

This event has a Google Hangouts video call.
