Once again, I've been slacking on my intended update schedule for this newsletter, but I was running the RMC-SCBWI's Letters & Lines children's book conference a few weekends ago and the Sunday Ha Ha was on hiatus, so there wasn't any new Peter Cadaver content for a couple of months. But, I'm aiming to have monthly editions going forward. Make sure to share this with your friends and enemies who you think might have a secret morbid curiosity about me. Sign up for regular updates via my contact form.
Events
The next event I'll be at will be the Grand Lake Pumpkin Patch on Friday, October 13th. I'll be doing zombie caricature commissions from 2-4 pm and again from 6-9 pm, a reading and signing of my bedtime storybook, THERE'S A ZOMBIE IN THE BASEMENT at 4-5 pm (or 3 pm according to this flyer).

These are the strips from September.
The Many Misfortunes of Eugenia Wang
My complete rough dummy is now with the production editor, so while I wait for continuity notes, I decided I needed to continue working on the Salem Charter Academy submission packet, a middle grade graphic novel that lives in the same world as my weekly Peter Cadaver comic strip. Fortunately for me, my amazing agent, Ann Rose at the Tobias Literary Agency hosted her clients at the Rosebud Writer's Retreat. I made a video to show you what it was like. It was incredibly productive, as I was able to firm up my synopsis so I could finish up my sample art for my submission shortly after returning.
If you're on Goodreads, do me a favor and make sure to add THE MANY MISFORTUNES OF EUGENIA WANG to your WANT TO READ list!
Cuddlefish Academy
Would you like to see some sample work from some of my students?
There's a Zombie in the Basement
In expectation of the upcoming release of a special 4th edition of THERE'S A ZOMBIE IN THE BASEMENT, I started asking parents to send me their kids' monster drawings.
